I had often heard that the Powder Flask Book was required reading for anyone with an interest in flasks. Assuming that the book would be easy to find, I attempted to buy one and had enormous difficulty. Now I know why.

The book is absolutely packed with information on powder flasks, shot flasks and other pieces of shooting history. Once opened its hard to put it down. Once owned its hard to part with. This is the reason for its scarcity on the second hand market. I reccomend this book strongly. It is an incredible piece of work, highly valued by auctioneers, valuers and collectors alike. Its well worth the long search for the illustrations alone, without even considering the valuable information and advice found within its chapters. Absolutely superb.
