A fine mid nineteenth century coopered bucket turned and raised on ebonised base supported by three ball feet. Retaining the original brass handle and liner - (you can see the rim of this in the main shots.)
Dutch, circa 1850
Height 15 in Diameter 12 in
The bucket is a superb condition, to be honest, it is the best I have seen. These buckets often have wood worm and can be falling apart. This one however is in a very good condition with no such damage. I find the form of these buckets exceptionally pleasing, the contrast of colours, shapes and forms make it a really attractive addition to any room.
