A rare and unusual door knocker produced by Archibald Kenrick & Sons in the second half of the 19th century. These door knockers were supplied to the Kenrick employees and were used to identify their homes located around the factory.

Like Matthew Boulton, the Archibald Kenrick works were highly focused around the employees and staff, they created a strong community and good fair work ethics which was unusual for the period.
The letter box spring is new.
